Klein ISD HOSA Students Achieve Wins at International Conference
Klein ISD Career & Technical Education Health Science students medaled and were given special recognition at the HOSA International Leadership Conference on June 24, 2023.
What is HOSA? HOSA is dedicated to promoting career opportunities in the healthcare industry. HOSA provides a platform for students in Health Science Pathways interested in pursuing careers in healthcare to develop leadership, technical, and communication skills. HOSA allows students to engage in competitions, participate in community service, and network with professionals in the field.
Winning Results: Students competed against individuals and teams worldwide. Klein ISD had 14 students competing, with eight students in the top 10 internationally in their respective events.

In-Depth: Our Klein ISD CTE students excelled in two teamwork competitive events; Creative Problem Solving and Parliamentary Procedure. Creative Problem Solving allows members to analyze the problem-solving process and work as a team to apply their problem-solving skills in creating a solution to a hypothetical health or HOSA-related problem. Parliamentary Procedure allows HOSA members to gain the knowledge and skills required to conduct a simulated business meeting by using parliamentary Procedure.
